About The Pathway RV
A History of Accessibility
Since 1999, Adaptive Mobility Systems, Inc. (adaptivevans.com) has been dedicated to providing top-quality wheelchair accessible minivans. However, over the years, we recognized that many individuals with wheelchair-bound family members needed a more spacious option for their travels. Hence, the Maxvan Pathway was born. Allow us to introduce you to this exceptional RV, carefully designed to cater to the needs of wheelchair users and provide an unforgettable travel experience.
Built on a Versatile Platform
The Maxvan Pathway is built on the Ram ProMaster 3500 tall, extended chassis cargo van, renowned for its versatility and cost-effective operation. Unlike its competitors, such as the Ford Transit and Mercedes Sprinter, the ProMaster’s front-wheel-drive configuration allows for a considerably lower rear floor section and increased headroom. This unique advantage also frees up the under-floor space, enabling us to incorporate essential components like water and storage tanks, a generator, and a revolutionary patented rear ramp system.
Innovative Features
With our innovative rear ramp, wheelchair users can easily roll right into the van without the need for hydraulic lifts or platforms. Furthermore, once inside, part of the rear floor, which doubles as the ramp, can be electrically raised to provide a completely flat floor space again. The interior of the Maxvan Pathway is thoughtfully designed to be functional, practical, and easy to maintain, using durable materials that exude a sophisticated European look and feel.
World-Class Quality & Design
Drawing inspiration from the finest European RVs, the Maxvan Pathway features top-quality components, including the Cassette Toilet system, an Italian yacht sink, German polycarbonate, dual-pane windows with bug and privacy screens, and a teak wood shower floorpan. Equipped with a sliding couch that converts into a near-queen-sized bed, a wet bath and shower, refrigerator, sink, TV, water heater, roof-mounted Heat/AC unit, exhaust fan, and Onan electric generator, your travels will be filled with comfort and convenience.
Accessibility Options
While we offer several optional features, such as an overhead trolley system for easy lifting of passengers and a front passenger area platform for secure wheelchair tie-down, the Maxvan Pathway is primarily designed for ambulatory drivers who transport wheelchair occupants. Since its launch in 2020, the Maxvan Pathway has garnered immense popularity among RV enthusiasts, offering them a perfect solution to their challenging RV needs.
Trusted & Reputable
As a family-owned company with a track record of over 10,000 wheelchair vans on U.S. highways today, we take immense pride in building each Maxvan Pathway with utmost care and attention to detail. With only about 10 units hand-built per year, you can rest assured that you will be owning an exclusive and high-quality product. Take the first step towards boundless travel and call us today to begin crafting your very own “Pathway” to adventure. Our team of experts is ready to assist you with any queries or customization options you may desire.

Interior Features
Sofa-Bed
This large sofa easily converts to a lounge or near queen size bed (58.5″ x 76″). Since the cabin expansion provides an additional 8-inches of interior width, there is enough space to walk around the bed. No more crawling over the bed to get to the other side. In addition, an optional overhead trolly can be installed to assist the wheelchair user in and out of bed.
Kitchen
This kitchen has all the features you will need to prepare a well-cooked meal. It includes a stainless-steel sink with glass lid, stainless-steel countertop, single butane burner, 12V fridge, and a roll out storage cart. Once removed, the rolling storage cart also makes space for the wheelchair user to roll under the countertop and easily access all the features of the Pathway’s kitchen. Now you can cook on the go with ease!
Wet Bath
Like everything else in the Pathway, this fully featured wet bath was designed with the wheelchair user in mind. Once in the wet bath area, simply close the curtain around you. Inside you will find all the amenities are easily accessible from grab handles, toilet, shower faucets, storage, and mirror.
Storage
All the cabinets and storage are lined with carpet and have an open front with netting. We do this because an RV is more like a car than a house. No doors to get in the way, rattle or block the overhead lights when open. You can also fit more in the storage areas without doors, it just makes sense!
Wardrobe
Enjoy ample space to hang clothing and a stylish fabric drawer. Our unique hanger system keeps your wardrobe in place even through the quick stops and turns.
Entertainment and Electrical
Entertainment
Sit on the sofa or lay in bed to watch TV. The adjustable arm bracket can easily extend, pivot, and tilt the TV for the optimal viewing angle and locks in the collapsed position. The 32-inch HD TV conveniently includes a built in DVD player and speakers. With cable hookups, DVD player, HDMI ports, and USB ports you can watch the content you love with ease.
Control Panel
All the important controls are conveniently located together where the wheelchair user has easy access to them. Located next to the 32-inch HD TV are the controls for A/C, heat, lighting, water pump, and viewing water tank levels.
Exterior Features
Windows
These acrylic double-pane windows are the standard RV window in Europe for good reason. They are light, energy efficient, awning style (can be opened in the rain) and have privacy and bug screens built in.
Hookups
All the common campground hookups are here: 30 AMP inlet, city water, Coaxial, and dual 15 AMP outlets. Every cord and hose are provided to start your journey.

Maxvan’s History
The first Maxvan designs started in 2014. There was a limited production run of the Maxvan 1.0 based on the Dodge Caravan chassis which concluded with the 2.0 designs based on the RAM ProMaster Chassis.
Behind the Pathway
From grab handles, accessible controls, and the removable under sink cart, everything in this vehicle was designed with the wheelchair user in mind.
The Maxvan Advantage
Car companies have not used wood for their cars’ structure in over five decades, why should RVs be any different? Our wall, floor, ceiling, and cabinet structures are all steel for superior strength and durability.
