How The Pathway Started

I knew I wanted to make a wheel chair accessible RV, to lessen the traveling hurdles, many wheel chair users face on a daily basis. The challenge was, all current smaller RV’s, have too small of an aisle for wheel chair use. I had to make the vehicle wider.

One day while driving near my house I saw a RAM ProMaster® truck carrying glass , on a rack, on the drivers side of the van. After seeing this I went home and looked up glass delivery truck companies and saw that this rack could carry 1000lbs. I knew that popping out the side wall would be an easy task for the RAM ProMaster®.

What Makes The Pathway Unique?

This wheelchair accessible RV has many unique features not be found anywhere else in any class “B” RV. It has a patented powered floor ramp. The floor in the back is a ramp when you are rolling in, & is a floor to roll on once you are inside. The unique 8” drivers side cabin expansion allows a 41” wide isle. Beside the couch there is a tie down or turn around area 44” wide, with a 7” deep foot sweep area under the couch for your feet to pass under. This is enough room for most wheelchairs to turn around. Don’t forget, the four Q’Straint® wheelchair tie-down points that keep the wheelchair secured while driving.

The Pathway RV has netting, not doors or drawers on all interior cabinets and storage areas. This helps to keep these areas accessible to wheelchair users. The bathroom also has no door, instead, utilizing the shower curtain for privacy as well as giving more room in the bathroom for showering.

Why The Pathway Is Right for You

There are other wheelchair accessible motorhomes on the market, but accessibility was an after thought for most of them. From grab handles, accessible controls, and the removable under sink cart, everything in this vehicle was designed with the wheelchair user in mind.
